New Albany High School’s Black Student Association club allows all students to learn about black culture & history through various fun activities such as movies, games, etc. The club will serve as a safe space for black students to connect with one another and share challenges that they face as a minority student. The club will host interactive discussions that aim to inform NAHS’ student body on the daily issues that black people face and aims to bridge students with similar and different racial experiences together! If possible, the club can get involved in events outside of school that benefit the black community such as peaceful protests. Meetings would be once every 2 weeks.

The NAHS Black Student Association hosted a virtual discussion with Dr. Khalil Gibran Muhammad, Harvard Professor and NY Times Best Selling author on December 8, 2020. The focus of the virtual discussion was "Why Black Lives Matter & the importance of advocacy".
