Get ready for the Eagle Wellness Ninja Challenge!
The challenge will promote wellness and good health at the start of 2020, as well as raise funds to help support group play activities and enhancements for the new playground equipment being installed at both Primary and Intermediate Schools this summer. Many sections of both playgrounds are 20 years old, and while safe, the cost for yearly maintenance becomes less cost-efficient than replacement. While the District has funds set aside for capital improvements of this nature and will be covering new playgroup equipment costs, we’re looking to add extra group play activities on asphalt surfaces, plus additional Gaga pits, and relocate and update the Primary School basketball courts (includes new basketball backboards, too). Families will be encouraged to use the new playgrounds after school, weekends and during the summer.
Our fundraising goal is $40,000. 100% of the proceeds will go to the new playground with prizes and t-shirts provided courtesy of Clark Family Dental & Shirck Orthodontics! The Eagle Wellness Ninja Challenge will take place during your student’s wellness classes from February 13 to 26 with donations due by Friday, February 14. Coach Todd and Coach Reichard have worked hard to develop exciting “challenges” for the students to perform as a team in their classes. Additionally, E + R = O concepts, such as sportsmanship and teamwork, will be discussed. Watch for more information to come home in your child's backpack later this month!
Donations are due by Friday, February 14 and can be made via check to each school or via credit card by visiting: Primary School or Intermediate School.
