Tara Bogo Selected As New Albany Coordinator of Structured Literacy
New Albany - Plain Local Schools welcomes Tara Bogo as the new Coordinator of Structured Literacy for the 2023-24 school year. Mrs. Bogo’s role will focus on reading instruction with an emphasis on instructional approaches that are explicit and systematic in building literacy skills. Her role and responsibilities include ensuring that the school district fulfills the requirements of Ohio’s Dyslexia Law in meeting the needs of all students.
Mrs. Bogo brings a strong background in literacy and best practices as she joins the New Albany-Plain Local School District. She has over 20 years of experience with the Worthington Schools as a reading specialist, classroom teacher, and a Multi-Tiered System of Support facilitator.
Mrs. Bogo earned her bachelor’s degree and K-12 Reading Endorsement from Hiram College. She earned her master’s degree, PK-9 principal license, and Literacy Specialist Endorsement from Ashland University. She completed coursework for working with English Language Learners (TESOL endorsement) from Otterbein University. Mrs. Bogo also earned certification in Orton-Gillingham instructional approaches from Columbus Children’s Dyslexia Center.

Mrs. Bogo is committed to creating a culture of accountability that achieves the best academic and developmental outcomes for each student.”
Mrs. Bogo stated, “I am extremely enthusiastic for the opportunity to support New Albany’s teachers and students with literacy. I look forward to leading efforts to raise achievement for all students and ensuring those students most at-risk receive the best instructional practices to excel throughout their schooling."
Mrs. Bogo and her husband reside in Lewis Center with their three children.
Mrs. Bogo will officially join the district on August 1, 2023 with additional summer work days to facilitate her transition to the New Albany-Plain Local Schools.
