Concord Summer Program Offerings

Summer Learning Opportunities for Parents & Students!

  • 15 FREE series are being offered to families in Gahanna, Groveport, New Albany & Westerville school districts; no commitment for all sessions or sign-up needed 
  • Each hour-long series will be offered one day a week, for six weeks, with each session being offered at 10:00am & 3:00pm each day for convenience 
  • When: June 15-July 28, 2020

Student Series

Keep It Together (Gr 2-5) - Teaches feeling identification, emotional triggers & how to manage

Mindful Moments (Gr 3-5) - Teaches mindfulness & different fun activities to overcome summer boredom

Bored in the House? (Gr 6-8) – Teaches coping skills & fun activities to overcome summer boredom

Cyber Supers! (Gr 4-8) – Teaches internet safety & how to be their best self on social media

Keeping Connected (Gr 6-8) –Teaches ways to stay connected with peers & family during the pandemic

Staying Focused (Gr 6-8) - Teaches goal-setting, how to create personal daily schedules & organization

They Said What…to Who? (Gr 6-12) - Teaches healthy & unhealthy behaviors in friendships & romantic relationships

Quiet Your Mind (Gr 6-12) - Teaches how to identify signs & symptoms of anxiety, coping skills & resources to manage stress, worry & feeling overwhelmed

Strengths & Strategies to Weather the Storm (Gr 6-12) - Teaches how to identify signs & symptoms of depression, suicidal thoughts & feelings, & learn healthy coping skills & resources to manage feelings

You Are Not Alone (Gr 6-12) – A safe space to exchange thoughts, ideas, & feelings to cope with tough times

Movin' On Up (rising 6th Gr) – Teaches how to set goals & learn how to navigate, thrive & survive the transition from elementary to middle school

Movin' On Up (rising 9th Gr) – Teaches how to set goals & learn how to navigate, thrive & survive the transition from middle to high school


Parent Series

Know the Signs (Parents of ages 7-17) - Learn about different substances, trends, street names, risk factors, warning signs, & tips to help prevent adolescent substance use

Achieving Harmony When Everyone is Out of Tune (Parents of 4-12th Gr) - Teaches ways to increase positive conversations, communications, & family dynamics

Mutual Respect: Reaching Your Teen (Parents of ages 13-17) - Teaches skills needed to use effective discipline, teach responsibility, & communicate with teens
