Students record macro invertebrates in Rose Run Stream

New Albany seventh grade students (Teachers/classes: Jaster, Williams and Woodmansee) assessed the Rose Run Creek water quality index.  Students found and recorded macro invertebrates along the stream. They also collected crayfish and fish. The index average was 30 (using a modified EPA reporting form). This data allowed the students to conclude that Rose Run Stream is in excellent condition for water quality. The index number has steadily risen over the last 20 years thanks to many conservation efforts by the village and community.
