  • What does it mean to you to be selected Salutatorian?

Being selected Salutatorian is an honor and a huge accomplishment. I am proud that my hard work and studying in high school have paid off.

  • What do you consider to be the "secret to your success" and this achievement?

My curiosity has led to a passion for learning. It’s important to enjoy your classes rather than seeing learning as an obligation. Also, find motivation to study for yourself rather than for others.

  • What would you say has been the most helpful thing during your high school career to get you to this level?

Time management is crucial in high school and will continue to be in college. Between sports, clubs, and school, you have to stay organized and manage your time well.

  • How many years have you attended New Albany Schools?

I have attended New Albany Schools for 13 years.

  • What colleges or universities are you considering?

I am deciding between Colgate and Bucknell.

  • What would you like to pursue as a major, career, etc.

I am planning on majoring in biology or neuroscience and then going to medical school.

  • What sort of activities are you involved with at NAHS or in the community?

I am a member of Key Club, and have been on Key Club’s board for two years. I am also a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and Women’s Interactive Network. I played high school volleyball all four years and lettered for three. I was chosen for captain my senior year as well. Outside of the school, I am a grant reader for The Women’s Fund of Central Ohio. Altogether, I have earned more than 150 service hours.

  • Please share anything else you may feel you want people to know!

I’m so grateful for the strong support system and amazing teachers that New Albany has to offer. My teachers challenged me and helped me grow as a student.
