A student team under teacher Krystina Pratt from New Albany-Plain Local School District in Ohio is investigating the feasibility of remotely controlled robotic surgery in space.

NAMS Students learn about the craft of writing first hand - MS Author in Residence Steve Sheinkin
Our first author visit of the school year will took place on October 24 and 25. Author Steve Sheinkin met with both seventh and eighth grade students in full assemblies at the McCoy on day one. He also joined English Language Arts and Social Studies teachers for lunch. On day two, he met with students in small groups in the middle school library.

Congratulations to Rydan Russell on his summer diving achievements!
This summer, Eighth Grade student Rydan Russell competed in two Jr USA Diving Championships. He got second in the nation in California on the platform (10M) and got gold in the first high dive event (15m) this summer in Fort Lauderdale, earning him a trip to the Pan Am Games.

Congrats to our students receiving Superior Scores at State Science Day!
Ryan Zand received Superior Scores at the State Science Day. This is the highest level of science fair achievement in the state. State Science Day was held at Columbus State Community College on March 18, 2023.

Laura Mejia Selected As New Albany Middle School Assistant Principal
We welcome Laura Mejia as the NAMS Assistant Principal. Mrs. Mejia will officially join the district on August 1, 2023 with additional summer work days to facilitate her transition to the role of assistant principal at NAMS.
