The New Albany-Plain Local School District and Community Well-Being Initiative have collaborated with a number of community organizations that serve and provide resources in a number of different areas. This list of organizations and topic areas will continue to grow as needs are identified and additional experts and resources become available.

Concord Counseling
Mission - to provide the best behavioral health services by instilling hope, improving lives and serving with heart.


History - People Helping People Since 1972. Founded by a group of concerned citizens with determination and vision, Concord Counseling Services is a private, non-profit organization. One of Central Ohio’s first community mental health agencies, we’re proud to continue the caring tradition that began over 45 years ago. Our goal is to provide holistic recovery services to increase clients’ personal growth and full participation in society.

Dedicated to Healing Minds and Spirits

We’re an 80-member team of comprehensive and specialized mental health and substance abuse counseling professionals and we have received the highest rating from CARF which accredits rehabilitation facilities. As an Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board of Franklin County lead provider agency, we also perform services for:


Maryhaven
Maryhaven is a private rehab located in Columbus, Ohio. Maryhaven specializes in the treatment of substance, drug and alcohol abuse.

Maryhaven is Central Ohio’s best-in-class integrated behavioral health services provider specializing in addiction recovery. Our team has served more than 227,000 men, women and adolescents since 1953.



Nationwide Children’s Hospital
Nationwide Children’s Hospital Behavioral Health Services provides routine outpatient, intensive community based, crisis, day treatment, partial and acute care services to individuals and families. Specialized services include assessment and treatment for eating disorders, mood disorders, conduct problems, problem sexual behaviors, AOD, trauma, autism spectrum and other developmental disorders, and ADHD. Nationwide Children’s Hospital Behavioral Health Services also provides psychological services to individuals with medical conditions as well as psychiatric and psychosocial support to individuals with 

 

differences/disorders of sex development. Early childhood mental health and prevention services are provided in the home, community and school settings. The services are provided by an interdisciplinary team of professionals across multiple locations.

Mental and Behavioral Health
Ohio State Behavioral Health offers personalized and compassionate care for your mental or behavioral health condition.

Are you or your loved one struggling with problems related to anxiety, depression or moodiness, alcohol or drug abuse or another mental or behavioral condition? Are you a woman whose mental or behavioral condition may impact becoming pregnant or caring for yourself or your child?

Specialists at Ohio State Behavioral Health, part of the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center, can help you to better understand your condition, thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
You can receive confidential treatment in a caring environment at Ohio State Harding Hospital, Talbot Addiction Medicine and other Ohio State outpatient sites that can help you move forward toward a more enjoyable, productive life.

Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board of Franklin County

Mission Statement
Our mission is to improve the well-being of our community by reducing the incidence of mental health problems and eliminating the abuse of alcohol and other drugs in Franklin County.

Citizens in need of care will receive the most progressive and effective mental health and addiction treatment and prevention services available.  The unique cultural and individual needs of each client will guide how the services are provided, and treatment will always be provided in a timely manner. ADAMH’s commitment to these goals establishes its role as a vital partner in Franklin County’s healthcare network and will help to de-stigmatize mental illness.


The Heit Center for Healthy New Albany

Locally born and bred, Healthy New Albany is a movement designed to embrace healthy living through community activities, events and personalized wellness and disease prevention.

Our not-for-profit organization, organized and managed by community volunteers, sponsors and promotes the New Albany Walking Classic, New Albany Farmers Market, New Albany Community Garden, New Albany Lecture Series and Healthy New Albany Magazine.  

Our grass-roots driven movement is also partnering with the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital to develop the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany in the center of our community. The 55,000-square-foot center features health and wellness services and programming, fitness facilities and community space.

Healthy New Albany’s goal is lofty: to create the nation’s healthiest community right here at home—and serve as a model for cities all around the U.S
