ParentSquare Updates
We apologize for the multiple phone calls you may have received regarding our school closing on Sunday, January 25, 2026. When we noticed that some calls were not delivering right away, we resent the message using an urgent alert to be sure families received the information as quickly as possible.
ParentSquare has shared that the delay was caused by extremely high call volume nationwide, along with an issue involving one of their phone service providers. Over the past week alone, more than 35,000 weather-related messages were sent through ParentSquare due to snowstorms, closures, delays, and virtual learning days.
While email and text notifications continued to deliver reliably, some voice calls were delayed during peak weather events. Importantly, no calls were lost—some were simply delivered later than expected. We understand that delayed notifications can be frustrating and disruptive, and we sincerely appreciate your patience.
To help clarify what families can expect when messages are sent, we encourage you to review the chart and Q&A to the left . Thank you for your understanding as we work with ParentSquare to ensure timely and reliable communication.
NAPLS now uses ParentSquare for school communication, primarily with email, text and app notifications. ParentSquare automatically generates an account for each parent, using their preferred email address and phone number that is listed in PowerSchool.
We encourage parents to register their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
