John and his wife Angelika have lived in the district since 2000 and are the proud parents of three children who have attended NAPLS. John has been an active community member, serving on the district’s strategic planning and facility advisory committees. He also chaired the successful combined bond and levy campaign in 2012 resulting in the construction of the Intermediate School. John is the President of Trimac Advisors, a Strategic Communications and Public Affairs firm. He is also a former board member of the Broadcast Educational Media Commission, a state agency which promotes the advancement of education and acceleration of citizen learning through public educational broadcasting services. John holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Franklin University.

Jennifer and her family have resided in New Albany since 2012. Originally from Northern Virginia, she has lived in Central Ohio since 2005. She and her husband, Brad, have four children who attend school in New Albany. Jenn is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, working in the NICU for the last 13 years. Previous work experience includes as a Sales Support Engineer for a medical device company and as a Patent Examiner, specializing in medical imaging devices. She has a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a MS in Nursing from Ohio State University. Jenn has been involved in the community serving on the board of the New Albany Women's Network, volunteering with the New Albany school Parent Teacher Organizations and MS theater program, and helping to lead a Girl Scout troop. She enjoys running and playing tennis. She joined the Board of Education in 2024.

Coleen Barber is a long-time New Albany resident, dedicated community leader, and active advocate for students and families across the district. She and her husband, Zach, have lived in New Albany since 1999 and are the proud parents of four children currently attending New Albany-Plain Local Schools.
Coleen has spent more than a decade serving the district in numerous volunteer leadership roles. She has previously served as PTO President at the Early Learning Center, Primary School, Intermediate School, and Middle School. Her extensive involvement has given her a deep understanding of school operations, family engagement, and the evolving needs of students across all grade levels.
A graduate of The Ohio State University, Coleen holds a degree in education, which has shaped her lifelong passion for supporting students’ development and academic success. Professionally, she is the owner of The Schoolhouse, where she works daily on-site to support early learners and their families. Her background in early childhood education and hands-on experience in the classroom guide her commitment to nurturing well-rounded, confident, and capable learners.
As a participant in the Leadership New Albany program and an active community member, Coleen is committed to strengthening partnerships between families, educators, and the wider community. She brings experience in organizational leadership, coordination of school-wide initiatives, and fostering collaborative environments.
Coleen believes in transparent communication, responsible stewardship of district resources, and creating safe, supportive, and innovative learning environments for all students. She is honored to serve the New Albany-Plain Local Schools community and is dedicated to building a strong future for every child.

Paul and his wife Jennifer moved to New Albany in 2007 and are the proud parents of four children in primary school, middle school and high school at NAPLS. Paul is active in the New Albany and Central Ohio community and is a founder and board member of New Albany Charity Run, Inc. which organizes the Annual Thanksforgiving Four Miler and Kids Dash. Paul is also a volunteer and board member of LifeCare Alliance. Paul is a Principal at Ernst & Young (EY) working in the fields of Tax, Economic Development, and Environmental Sustainability, where he has served local and international clients since 1995. Paul earned a B.S. degree in Finance from Miami University and his law degree from Capital University

Mark and his wife Jennie have lived in the district since 2004 and are the parents of three sons who attended NAPLS. Mark began his career as a CPA and corporate attorney in Boston, focusing on mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare industry. He has 20 years’ experience working in collegiate sports, with an emphasis on managing risk. He has served as adjunct faculty for Drexel University’s Sport Business Department and Kline School of Law and on the Advisory Board of the College Athletics and The Law publication.
In New Albany, Mark has served as President of New Albany for Kids, organizing community support for district levy campaigns. Mark founded Eagle Backers, the athletics boosters organization for the middle and high schools. With several other community members, Mark established the NAPLS Extracurricular Activities Scholarship Fund at the New Albany Community Foundation. This Fund provides financial assistance to students participating in school-sponsored extracurricular activities. He has also proudly served our students as a classroom volunteer and volunteer crossing guard. Mark earned a B.S. degree in Accounting from Boston College and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School.
