Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Woodruff

Hello! My name is Heather Woodruff. I have been a proud member of the New Albany - Plain Local School District since 2004! Go Eagles!!!

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from West Liberty University in 1993, licensure in Special Education from The Ohio State University in 1997 and my Masters Degree from Ashland University in 2014. I am entering my 25th year in education!!!

This year I will be working as an Intervention Specialist with the Preschool at the ELC. I am so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of igniting curiosity, imagination, excitement and a lifelong love of learning in our youngest learners! Prior to my role as Intervention Specialist with the Preschool I have served as a school-age Intervention Specialist and Kindergarten Teacher in the district as well.

In addition to my teaching role for the 2018-2019 school year, I will serve as Data Coach at the ELC as well as Resident Educator Lead Mentor for the District.

When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband and 4 children in Pickerington. With the addition of 2 dogs (Theo and Truman) and a bunny (Princess Penelope), we are BUSY!  My son Ben is a recent graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. He will be married this June. Exciting! My daughter Bailey is a junior accounting major at Otterbein. My daughter Brooke is a high school junior attending the career center focusing on Dentistry. My daughter Bryn is a freshman cross country runner at Pickerington North High School. As some of you may know, I have an identical twin Holly who lives in Pickerington too so if your child comes home and says “There are 2 Mrs. Woodruff’s” you know why!!
