This fall marks my twenty-eighth year in the field of education. I joined our district in 2001 as a middle school English teacher. During my tenure at New Albany Middle School, I served as English Department Chair, 8th-grade Team Leader, and a member of the NAMS administrative team. I joined the high school English Department in 2017.
As a graduate of Denison University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication and English (with both a writing and literature concentrations), I share my love of words with the next generation of thinkers. Additionally, I add my Educational Leadership Master’s Degree from Ashland University and my administrative experience to hone my pedagogy with an innovative perspective in our classroom.
Born in Pittsburgh during the reign of the "Steel Curtain," I am a diehard Steelers fan. When I was almost eleven, we moved to Tampa, Florida, and my parents still live there today. I have resided in New Albany for the past twenty-five years and am quite proud of our community. My husband, Robb, and I feel so fortunate to have raised our children, Timothy(7th grade) and Caroline (sophomore at Miami University), here. I enjoy classic literature, music, anything outside, and really terrible reality TV when I am not in the classroom.
I look forward to getting to know your family and partnering together for our student’s successes.
Go Eagles!
