Welcome to first grade! I am very excited about this year. I have many exciting things to share with you and can’t wait for us to learn and grow together. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I began teaching in New Albany 1998. I took some time away from teaching when my children were born, but was thrilled to come back to New Albany once they were in school. I attended The Ohio State University where I majored in Family Relations and Human Development. I went on to receive my Master of Education degree and Reading Endorsement from there as well. Throughout my career, I have continued to take coursework to stay up to date on the best practices in education.
My husband and I have two daughters who attend New Albany Schools. Faith is a senior and Marissa is a junior. We spent our summer touring colleges, enjoying time with family and friends, and took a trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. What a beautiful part of the country!
The most exciting part of teaching first grade is watching the tremendous amount of growth that each student makes during the year. I look forward to taking this journey with you!
