Ms. Johnson

Welcome to first grade! I am very excited about this year. I have many exciting things to share with you and can’t wait for us to learn and grow together. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.

I began teaching in New Albany 1998. I took some time away from teaching when my children were born, but was thrilled to come back to New Albany once they were in school. I attended The Ohio State University where I majored in Family Relations and Human Development. I went on to receive my Master of Education degree and Reading Endorsement from there as well.

My husband and I have two daughters. Faith is a freshman at the University of Wisconsin and Marissa is a senior at New Albany High School. I spent my summer enjoying time with family and friends, playing pickle ball, taking my dog Toby for long walks, and took trips to Michigan, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.

The most exciting part of teaching first grade is watching the tremendous amount of growth that each student makes during the year. I look forward to taking this journey with you!
