Degrees and Certifications:
This will be my 18th year of teaching at New Albany Plain Local Schools. I taught 1st Grade for 16 years, 2nd grade for 1 year and this year I am teaching 3rd grade. I am grateful to be a part of such an amazing school district and team! I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education- Go Buckeyes and later received my Master’s Degree in Literacy from Ashland University.
I live in New Albany with my husband, Chad, 14 year old son, Caden and 12 year old daughter Cali. We spent the summer visiting Cedar Point, swimming at the pool, and enjoying walks. I like hiking, sea glass hunting, exploring nature, and all kinds of sports.
I believe school should be a place where children love to be and is a place where a child’s love of school is nurtured with learning each and every day. My goal is to create a warm, caring, classroom community where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and sharing their experiences with others. I have high expectations for all students and want all students to reach their maximum potential.
