This will be my 19th year of teaching at New Albany Plain Local Schools. I taught 1st Grade for 16 years, 2nd grade for 1 year and 3rd grade for one year. I am grateful to be a part of such an amazing school district and team! I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education- Go Buckeyes and later received my Master’s Degree in Literacy from Ashland University.
I live in New Albany with my husband, Chad, 15 year old son, Caden and 13 year old daughter Cali. We spent the summer visiting Disney World, swimming at the pool, and playing spike ball with my family. I like hiking, sea glass hunting, exploring nature, and all kinds of sports.
I believe school should be a place where children love to be and is a place where a child’s love of school is nurtured with learning each and every day. My goal is to create a warm, caring, classroom community where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and sharing their experiences with others. I have high expectations for all students and want all students to reach their maximum potential. Teaching is my passion and I love my job!
