Welcome to first grade! I am very excited to teach another group of eager, bright, and hopeful students ready to dive into the new school year! I have many exciting things to share with you and can’t wait for us to learn and grow together.
A little about me:
My husband, Bo, and I have three children: Kasimir, Alaina, and Quinn. Quinn, the youngest member of our family will be a freshman at Ohio State University this year. Last year we added a new member to our family. Emmy, our adorable Cavalier, has brought a lot of energy and joy into our home! Along with spending time with my family, I enjoy traveling, reading, hiking, and doing jigsaw puzzles.
Education Background:
I received my teaching degree at the University of Michigan, and my Master of Education degree and Reading Endorsement at The Ohio State University. Throughout my career, I have continued to take coursework to stay up to date on the best practices in education.
Teaching Experience:
My teaching career began in my hometown, Athens, Ohio. I moved to Columbus in 1999 and have been teaching in New Albany ever since. I have taught Kindergarten, first, third, and fourth grade students. As I begin my 24th year in this profession, I am delighted to make first grade my home again. It is such a joyful place to be as a teacher and a learner!
