Degrees and Certifications:
Personal: I was born and raised in Bexley, Ohio. I was a double major in art history and creative writing at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. After graduation I studied in Europe, where I lived in both Italy and Greece. When I returned home, I earned my Master’s in Middle Education at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.
I live in Clintonville with my family. My husband, Sam, is a stay-at-home dad, which allows him to pursue his hobby as a chef. Yes, I know how lucky I am. Our daughter, Leigh, just turned seven in June. Not only is she incredibly sweet and kind to others, but also has a wicked sense of humor. My second child, Blake, turned two in February. He is such a joy! Blake loves to smile, laugh, and cuddle. My third child, Brooks, was born in June. He is a pretty happy baby, most of the time. Leigh and Blake love helping out with their younger brother. When I have time, I love reading both with my kids and on my own.
Professional: This is my third year teaching sixth grade. Four years ago I taught seventh grade. Before that, I taught fourth grade in the New Albany 2 - 5 building for seven years.
