Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Dugal

I am very excited to be a part of the New Albany family! Before becoming an Eagle, I served as a gifted intervention specialist at Hayes Intermediate School in Grove City for two years.  During my time there, I was responsible for running the gifted program for the 5th & 6th graders at our school. Additionally, I have taught middle school math in the past - one year in Columbus at Columbus Collegiate Academy and one year in Durham, North Carolina at Carrington Middle School.
I am blessed to have been married to Katie Dugal, who is a 4th grade Math/Science Teacher at NAIS, for the past 9 years, and have a 2 year old son, Camden, who will one day be a New Albany Eagle. I am an avid sports fanatic and at my previous locations I coached middle school football and basketball as well as high school baseball. Additionally, I love getting to see students thrive academically outside of the school setting while serving their immediate community. For the 2018-2019 school year, I head the New Albany Intermediate Math Counts Program and serve as one of the Tech Coaches and Data Coaches.
I received my Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University in Business Education.  Additionally, I completed a Bachelor's plus program for Middle Grades Math & Science from Ashland University and a Gifted Add-On program from Duke University.  Finally, I received my Master's of Education from The Ohio State University in Educational Administration.
I am certified in Business Education (Grades 4-12), Middle School Math (Grades 4-9), Middle School Science (Grades 4-9), Gifted Education (Grades K-12), and Educational Adminisitration (Grades K-12).
