Hello Families and welcome to fifth grade! My name is Mrs. Heiing, and I have been teaching fifth grade at New Albany for 18 years since graduating from The Ohio State University. I specialize in language arts instruction, and I am looking forward to helping your children grow as readers and writers this year. I also teach social studies, where together we'll explore the western hemisphere. There's so much to learn!

I'm married and have three daughters who attend New Albany Schools. Outside of school, you'll find me gardening, riding my bike, and watching my girls on the softball field or in the dance studio. If you see us out and about, please say hi. We love our New Albany family. Go, Eagles!
