Degrees and Certifications:
It's that time of year again- "back to school," and I could not be more excited for a new school year, a new group of excited students to welcome, and new adventures in learning! In 2010, I earned a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Early Childhood and Special Education from Heidelberg University. In 2013, I earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Bowling Green State University. I am entering my seventh year of teaching, three of which I have had the pleasure of teaching at New Albany!
Over the past three years, I have spent over 600 hours in professional development for math, science, and technology. This summer I had the exciting honor of facilitating professional development for teachers across Ohio, providing them with learning opportunities for incorporating Computer Science into their classroom through engaging and rigorous mathematics and science lessons.
When I am not teaching, I love trying new restaurants around Columbus and exploring the beautiful city. Although I grew up in Columbus, I always find new and exciting ""hidden gems"" around the city. I love the Ohio State Buckeyes! In the fall, my Saturdays are spent at The Ohio Stadium or in front of the T.V. cheering on my favorite team. Go Bucks!!
