Degrees and Certifications:
I love getting the opportunity to teach! It’s been so enjoyable getting to do what I love. I love seeing students as individuals and getting to watch them grow. I love learning alongside my students and look forward to a wonderful year.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from The Ohio State University. I then worked as a Service Coordinator for the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities. After those four years, I decided to pursue my passion of being an elementary school teacher. My husband and I moved to North Carolina where I received my Master’s degree in Elementary Education from North Carolina State University. We moved back to Columbus, and I taught a 3/4th grade split for one year and third grade for 2 years. I am now am starting my 3rd year as a 4th grade teacher of Math, Science and writing with Mr. Ivoska.
When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends. My husband is also a teacher at the 4-6 building, teaching 6th grade Math. Our sons, Camden (who will be three in October) and Austin (who will be one in March), keep us laughing and fill us with such joy. We love to travel to different National Parks and enjoy being outside. We also enjoy going to Ohio State sporting events and exploring around Columbus.
