Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Stryjewski

How do you say that last name? It is Stree(like tree) ev(like Bev) ski(like the snow kind), or you can call me Mrs. S.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in English and Political Science from West Virginia University, my teaching degree from Ohio Dominican University, and a Master’s Degree in Reading from Ashland University. I am certified to teach Pre-K through 8th grade and taught preschool for 5 years before becoming an elementary teacher. This is my 24th year of teaching in New Albany, and my ninth year teaching 3rd grade. I previously taught 2nd grade for 15 years and I love second graders! I decided to move to 3rd grade to share my extensive reading experience and knowledge to help third grade students meet the Third Grade Guarantee.

Teaching is my passion! In my classroom, I inspire students, ignite their imagination, and instill a love of learning. I call my students “my kids” because in our year together they aren’t just kids on my class list, they become a part of my heart.

I live in Grandview Heights with my husband of 24 years, Pete.I have two children. Tatianna is a senior at the University of Cincinnati and Roman is a sophomore, also at UC. Go Bearcats! I have two children. Tatianna is a senior at University of Cincinnati and Roman is a sophomore, also at UC. Go Bearcats!  I love dogs and have two. Stan is our 8 year old chocolate lab and Ollie is our 8 month old yellow lab. I love shopping, (especially Marshall’s and thrift stores), the ocean and the beach (the Caribbean is my favorite), and reading (read aloud is my favorite time of the day).
