Hello! I have been a proud New Albany Eagle educator since 1996 after teaching in two other Ohio districts. Throughout my career as an educator, I have had the opportunity and good fortune to teach students in elementary, middle, and high school. However, I have discovered that third graders are my absolute favorites with their endless ambition, emerging independence, and enthusiasm. I'm looking forward to the adventures we have in store for us this year!
In 1993, I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Indianapolis. In 2000, I earned my Masters of Education in Educational Policy and Leadership from The Ohio State University. Within our school district, I greatly enjoy being involved in leadership and decision-making opportunities. One of my proudest roles is being a co-facilitator for our Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC). The LPDC has the important responsibility of reviewing coursework and professional development activities proposed and completed by educators to determine if state licensure requirements have been met.
My family also keeps me quite busy! My husband and I are the proud parents of a high school daughter and a middle school son. We also have three rescued "furry kids", two dogs and a cat.
