Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! My name is Lola Elmer and I teach 3rd grade at New Albany Primary School. This will be my 32nd year in education and begins my 28th year with New Albany Schools. Previously, I taught 4th grade at Cassingham Elementary in Bexley, and 6th and 7th form math at Columbus School for Girls.
I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Ohio University in 1991 and a Master's Degree from Ashland University in 2003. I hold National Board Certification and Master Teacher Designation. I was the director of the New Albany Safety Town program for the first seven years. I served a two-year term as Elementary Vice-President of the Central Ohio Council of Teachers of Mathematics (COCTM). I also tutor students after school and during the summer and have taught numerous IMPACT classes. I LOVE what I do!! It has been an incredible journey!
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my amazing sons, Remington and Spencer, and our two Yorkies. Our family had a wonderful time on a cruise this summer. There were 19 members of our family on board!
I am very excited about our year ahead and look forward to working with families to inspire and teach children! It is my goal to help each child grow as a learner and reach his fullest potential!
