Welcome to my classroom! I have been teaching at New Albany High School since 2005, so in this district, that is a long time. Before coming here, I taught at Grove City High School as well as two years with Mosaic. I earned my teaching degree from Ohio University and my Masters of Teaching through Marygrove College. Last year I became certified to teach college-credit-plus classes, so in the process, I was a full-time student along with my students.
I grew up in Cincinnati and my heart will always hold a special place for the Queen City. I am a Bengals season ticket holder and am very passionate about the Orange and Black. My whole childhood through college-age was centered around soccer—neighborhood, travel, high school, and college—which provided me structure, many awesome memories, and a Division I State Championship.
This year I will be teaching Introduction to Literature 103 and 104 (KAP English 12) and Public Speaking. Both classes are my passion and I look forward to learning from students and watching them stretch themselves.
