Well into my second decade of teaching after earning my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Bowling Green State University, my Master's Degree in Special Education from Northern Kentucky University, and a K-12 administrative certificate from the University of the Cumberlands, it is a privilege to teach the amazing New Albany students and work with such a collaborative staff. Although I taught various grades in both Kentucky and Ohio, the majority of my teaching career has been at the high school level. My job is to not only help students succeed academically but to learn from each success and failure while they figure out who they are as individuals and as part of the collective group. Simply stated, I want each student to learn how to be independent and happy while contributing to our community and society.
When not teaching, my husband and I are embracing our lives as empty nesters. Our three children have all graduated college and we love watching them figure out the adult world. In our spare time we enjoy hiking, kayaking, and walking our rescue dogs, Freddie and Tobbie.
