Mr. Hoobler

I am excited to begin my 8th year at New Albany Middle School. During my tenure, I have taught special education and Social Studies. Currently, I teach 7th grade Social Studies. I graduated from Capital University in 2006 with a Bachelors Degree in Social Studies Education. While subbing for a few years, I went to The Ohio State University and obtained my Special Education licensure. In December 2014, I graduated from The Ohio State University with my Masters Degree in School Administration. I am eager to get to know all my students and help them grow and be the best version of themselves.

Outside of the classroom, I am the head coach for the middle school track and field team. I ran track in college and I thoroughly enjoy working with the younger athletes who are interested in the sport. I also have chaperoned multiple international student trips, traveling from China to Peru to Greece, and Italy. Being able to bring the classroom curriculum alive in person to students is a great feeling and one that encourages me in my career. My wife and I had our first child last November and he is keeping us busy! I enjoy reading, playing racquetball, and spending time with friends and family.
