I am excited to begin my 14th year at New Albany Middle School. During my tenure, I have taught special education (4 years) and Social Studies (entering 10th year). Currently, I teach 7th grade Social Studies and one section of 8th grade American History. I graduated from Capital University in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies Education. While subbing for several years, I went to The Ohio State University and obtained my Special Education licensure. In December 2014, I graduated from The Ohio State University with my Masters Degree in School Administration. Just as I was inspired by my teachers, it is my hope that I can have the same impact on my students. It is my goal to help each student succeed and grow to be the best version of themselves.
Outside of the classroom, I have chaperoned multiple international student trips, traveling to China, Peru, Greece, Italy, Germany, Poland, Hungary, and Czech Republic.
Outside of school, my wife and I have two children (ages 6 and 5) who keep us busy everyday. My wife is a nurse practitioner and keeps everyone organized at home. I enjoy reading, coaching my son’s little league baseball team, watching sports (I’m a huge Ohio State football fan) and spending time with friends and family.
