Welcome to Kindergarten! I have been busy doing what I love... teaching! I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 2001 and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from The Ohio State University in 2004. I come from a family of teachers and have always loved working with children. I was meant to be a teacher!
This is my fifteenth-year teaching kindergarten at New Albany, and my second-year teaching All-Day Kindergarten! I look forward to a fun and exciting year with your children. My personal goal as a teacher is to make an impact in every student’s life. Not only do I want my students to learn something every day, I also want them to love school and become confident, lifelong learners. In addition, I have also been one of the Kindergarten Team Leaders for the past several years. I love to collaborate and work closely with my colleagues.
When I am not teaching or doing school-related activities, I love spending time with my family. I have been married to my husband, Chip, for thirteen years. We have an amazing three-year-old son, Holden, who always keeps us laughing and smiling. We love the outdoors and spent all summer at the pool, park, and zoo. Even though I am originally from Geneva, New York, I bleed scarlet and grey! Watching Buckeye football is one of my favorite pastimes!
