2019-2020 Author Visits

  • We are excited to announce the amazing guest authors that will speak to students this school year! You can learn more about these authors by clicking on their name below.  
  • Chris Barton

    Author Chris Barton will visit New Albany Primary May 6-7, 2020. Mr. Barton is an award winning and best selling author of more than a dozen books for children of all ages. His books include Shark Vs. Train, Whoosh!: Lonnie Johnson's Super Soaking Stream of Inventions, The Day-Glo Brothers, and many more. Chris currently resides in Texas with his family.

  • Lisa Graff

    Author Lisa Graff will visit New Albany Intermediate May 4-5, 2020. Lisa is the critically acclaimed and award winning author of many books for middle grade readers. Lisa's books have been named to more than seventy state award lists and have been touted as the best books of the year by booksellers, teachers, and librarians. Lisa currently resides outside of Philadelphia with her family.

  • Jennifer Nielsen

    Jennifer Nielsen will visit students in grades 7-8 on September 17, 2019. Jennifer Nielsen is the author of over a dozen books for middle grade readers. Her book The False Prince, was a New York Times bestselling title. Jennifer has won multiple awards including the Sydney Taylor Notable Book Award for her novel Resistance, and multiple Whitney Awards for the books in the Ascendance Trilogy.

  • Tom Rinaldi

    Tom Rinaldi will visit our HS students on December 10, 2019. Tom Rinaldi is a reporter for ESPN and ABC based in New York. He has contributed to Sports Center, Outside the Lines, College Game Day and Sunday NFL Countdown. Rinaldi has won multiple Regional Emmy Awards, Associated Press Awards and a USA Today Feature-of-the-Year award. His book The Red Bandanna was named a New York Times Bestseller.

We have digital books!

  •  OverDrive        Sora app
    Our library collections continue to expand with physical books and digital books.  Students can borrow digital books using our site hosted by OverDrive.  The Sora app can be downloaded to any device to access the digital collection.  Students can borrow two ebooks for a 14 day loan period.  They can also place holds and put in requests for additional titles to be added.  To begin borrowing, students will need to enter his or her username and password.  This may require some assistance for our younger patrons.
