    Oge Mora

    Oge Mora is a collage artist and storyteller. Her picture book, Thank You, Omu!, was a Caldecott Honor, Coretta Scott King/John Steptoe New Talent Award winner, and Ezra Jack Keats Book Award recipient. Her second book, Saturday won the 2020 Boston Globe—Horn Book Picture Book Award. Oge’s artwork has been applauded by The Washington Post, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Boston Globe. She also recently made the Forbes 30 Under 30 2021 list in Arts & Style. Oge grew up in Columbus, Ohio but resides in Providence, RI. She is a fan of all things colorful, patterned, or collaged, and enjoys creating warm stories that celebrate people coming together.

    Jennifer Holm

    Jennifer L. Holm is a NEW YORK TIMES-bestselling children's author and the recipient of three Newbery Honors for her novels OUR ONLY MAY AMELIA, PENNY FROM HEAVEN, and TURTLE IN PARADISE. Jennifer collaborates with her brother, Matthew Holm, on several graphic novel series including the the Eisner Award-winning Babymouse series, the bestselling Sunny series, and the Squish series which is now a streaming show on HBO MAX. Her new novel is THE LION OF MARS. She lives in California with her husband, two children, and two bossy cats names Augustus and Livvie (after the Roman Emperor and Empress.)

    Jordan Sonnenblick

    Jordan Sonnenblick is the author of a number of critically acclaimed novels for young adults, including Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie and Zen and the Art of Faking It. A former middle-school English teacher, Sonnenblick often bases his works on events from his own life. When the younger brother of one of his students was diagnosed with cancer, Sonnenblick tried to locate a book that would help her understand the disease and cope with her fears. "I couldn't find a book to help her, so I decided to write one," he recalled to BookPage contributor Heidi Henneman. This decision resulted in Sonnenblick's fiction debut, Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie.

    Maggie Smith

    Maggie Smith is the author of the national bestsellers Goldenrod and Keep Moving: Notes on Loss, Creativity, and Change, as well as Good Bones, The Well Speaks of Its Own Poison, and Lamp of the Body. Smith’s poems and essays are widely published and anthologized, appearing in Best American Poetry, the New York Times, The New Yorker, The Paris Review, Ploughshares, the Washington Post, the Guardian, and elsewhere. In 2016 her poem “Good Bones” went viral internationally and has been translated into nearly a dozen languages. Public Radio International called it “the official poem of 2016.”

We have digital books!

    Our library collections continue to expand with physical books and digital books.  Students can borrow digital books using our site hosted by OverDrive.  The Sora app can be downloaded to any device to access the digital collection.  Students can borrow two ebooks for a 14 day loan period.  They can also place holds and put in requests for additional titles to be added.  To begin borrowing, students will need to enter his or her username and password.  This may require some assistance for our younger patrons.
