Mrs. Donna LeBeau, Principal

Mrs. Donna LeBeau joined the New Albany Middle School Learning Community as Principal in June of 2016.  

Mrs. LeBeau is beginning her 31st year in education and her 19th year as a middle school principal.  She most recently served as Principal of Hilltonia Middle School in Columbus, Ohio.  Mrs. LeBeau also served as principal of Indianola and Starling Middle School.   

Mrs. LeBeau is focused on instructional leadership, increasing student achievement and growth, establishing high expectations for outcomes within a positive culture and climate, and actively engaging students, staff, and parents. During her career she has worked to redesign a middle school to maximize instructional time for students.

Mrs. LeBeau is committed to demonstrating the leadership necessary to allow her to serve New Albany Middle School for years to come. Mrs. LeBeau holds a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Education from The Ohio State University. She lives in Grove City with her husband, Todd. Mr. and Mrs. LeBeau have three adult children.

Mrs. Sara Peterson, Assistant Principal

Dr. Peterson is beginning her 20th year in education. She began career in the Groveport Madison Local Schools, where she taught K-5th grade Visual Art for seven years. In 2005, Dr. Peterson came to New Albany Plain Local Schools and served as a 6-8 middle school Visual Art teacher for 10 years. She transitioned to a building leadership role in 2015 where she served as Dean of Students for the elementary and middle schools.

Dr. Peterson is a committed instructional leader who is dedicated to building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents. She seeks to increase student achievement and growth for every student, and share her knowledge of content area literacy and integrated curriculum. She is also strongly focused on developing the social-emotional learning of young adolescents.

Dr. Peterson holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Visual Art and Education from Otterbein University, and a Master of Arts Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Ohio Dominican University.

Last year, she graduated from Concordia University with a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. Dr. Peterson is joined in the New Albany Plain Local School District by her husband Todd, who serves as the high school Athletic Trainer. Her daughters also attend New Albany Plain Local Schools.
