Hello! My name is Brandon Young, and I'm teaching 8th Grade Science here at New Albany Middle School.

I grew up and graduated high school in Centerville, Ohio, and received my Bachelor's Degree in Middle Childhood Education from Wright State University. My content area focuses for my degree are Science and Social Studies, so I am very excited to get to teach what I love here in NAPLS!

I strive to be an active participant in my students' learning and classroom activity, and believe that curiosity is the strongest driving force for a student's success and growth. I try my best to give students an outlet for their curiosity, and to help them find the answers to the questions they have about the world.

Outside of the classroom, my hobbies include powerlifting, cooking, and all things nerdy. This includes comic books, video games, tabletop and card games, you name it! My fiancee is an investigative reporter for the Columbus Dispatch, and we have a cat and dog to keep us company while we plan for our wedding next summer.
