My name is Elizabeth Warvel, and I teach 3rd grade at the Primary School. I am passionate about educating young children – I love witnessing their lightbulb moments and helping them believe in their own potential.
I graduated from The Ohio State University with my Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology with a focus in Early Childhood Development. I then earned my Master of Science in Education from the University of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining the teaching staff at New Albany, I taught 1st grade at Granville Elementary School for 7 years. I also have experience in 2nd grade and 5th grade from my time student teaching in Columbus City Schools and with the School District of Philadelphia.
Outside of the classroom, I love to spend time with my husband, James, and our daughter, Maeve. We enjoy cooking, exploring the outdoors, playing games, and traveling.
