Hello families!
My name is Morgan Smith and I am excited to be teaching as one of the Preschool Intervention Specialists here at the ELC! This will be my second year teaching, but first year as a preschool teacher. I spent my first year as an Itinerant Teacher of the Visually Impaired throughout different school districts here in Central, Ohio. Before that I was an educational assistant here at the ELC and now I am back and excited for a great school year!
I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2021 with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and Intervention Specialist: Visually Impaired with a minor in Disability Studies. I received my Preschool Intervention Specialist Endorsement through Ohio University and now I am taking my Masters through Bowling Green State University in Curriculum and Teaching with a Reading Endorsement.
Working with preschool students is so magical. Each and every student is unique in their own way and my heart gets so happy when I see students making connections to their learning and their confidence and growth sky rockets!
Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with family and friends, exploring new places, creating art and relaxing outside when the weather is nice.
