Mrs. Ecleberry

Hi there! My name is Amy Ecleberry and I am from Newark, Ohio but have lived in New Albany for the past 25 years. I am thrilled to be joining the ELC preschool teaching team! I will be teaching one of the all day preschool classes and I cannot wait for this new journey that I am about to start. For the past 4 years I have been an Educational Assistant at the ELC. Prior to that I was a teacher in Newark for the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities but took some time off from teaching to be a mom, and here I am again as a “first year teacher.” I am a graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Human and Consumer Science with a major in Early Childhood/Primary Education. I earned my Preschool Intervention Specialist Teaching Endorsement and Master’s Degree from Ashland University.

I have 2 sons, Andrew (20) and Brandon (18). Andrew will be starting his 2nd year of college this fall and Brandon will be a senior at New Albany High School. Both of my boys started school at the ELC (used to be K-1) and I spent many hours as a parent volunteer in the building! My husband Greg and I have been married for 25 years. You may see Mr. Ecleberry around town as he works for the Plain Township Fire Department. We have a 3 year old Golden Retriever named Leo and I love to tell silly stories about the crazy things Leo does! When I am not at school you will most likely find me watching both of my boys play baseball. I also enjoy traveling to any beach (Hilton Head is my favorite), cheering for the Buckeyes and Steelers, and spending time with family and friends.
I am so excited about being your child's teacher this year and am looking forward to a wonderful school year together!
