I attended undergrad at Miami University and graduate school at the University of Akron, receiving a Master of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology. I initially became interested in becoming a speech therapist when I was in high school and began working with students with limited verbal speech and saw how beneficial alternative types of communication systems could be for helping these students develop their own voice. Some of my main interests within the field of speech pathology are augmentative and alternative assistive communication (AAC), social skills training and soft skills training for the workplace.
