Hello families! My name is Kelsey Wurm and I am so excited to be your child's first grade teacher this year. This is my fifth year teaching first grade at the Primary School (the first few years I was Miss White). I cannot wait to meet all my new students and get the year started.
I grew up in Sunbury, Ohio, where I attended Big Walnut Local Schools and was also an Eagle myself. Upon graduating, I went to The Ohio State University and obtained my degree in Early Childhood Education. Six years ago, I did my student teaching at the ELC and fell in love with New Albany. I felt so fortunate when I got the opportunity to have my own classroom in this district. First grade is such a special time for students to grow and learn. Our classroom is full of laughter, collaboration, encouragement, routine, and support.
I currently live in Westerville with my husband, Kyle, and our three fur babies. Alongside teaching, I enjoy cooking, spending time outside, and cheering on the Buckeyes.
I am very excited to begin the school year and look forward to working with both you and your child!
