Mr. Holman

¡Hola! My name is Greg and I will be teaching your child's Spanish class this year. I am so excited to have the opportunity to share my passion for Spanish with your child. Learning and speaking another language has opened my eyes to new cultures and provided me with life changing experiences and friendships from across the globe that I would never have without being able to speak another language. I’m excited to share my experiences and passion for language with my students to inspire and prepare them to travel, to meet new people, and to get out of their comfort zone to explore new cultures. I hope to inspire and pass my passion for language on to my students just like my high school Spanish teacher did for me.

I grew up in Dublin, Ohio and graduated from Dublin Jerome High School. After graduating, I attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a degree in Business Finance and a minor in Spanish language. A career in business didn’t entice me and I decided to pursue my passion for teaching and Spanish. After college, I spent a year in Alicante, Spain as an English Language Assistant in an elementary school. I then moved back to Ohio to study education at The Ohio State University where I graduated with my M.Ed. in Foreign and Second Language Education. This is my second year teaching Spanish and my first year teaching in New Albany where I will be teaching Spanish 1 and Spanish 2.

Outside of the classroom, I spend my time traveling, cooking, playing sports, practicing guitar and piano, and spending time with my girlfriend, family and friends. I am so excited for the upcoming school year! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
