Ms. Hodson

My name is Sarah Hodson and I am new to the New Albany school district this year! I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Education from Bowling Green State University in 2019. Upon graduation, I began my teaching career here in the Central Ohio area with the Educational Service Center of Central Ohio. With the ESC, I worked in Reynoldsburg City Schools as a preschool intervention specialist for the past two years. Prior to this, I worked and student taught near my university in Bowling Green, Ohio.

One of my many passions in life is working with children and teaching others to value cultural diversity. I am always thinking of ways to celebrate my students' and families' cultures within my classroom. I want my classroom to offer "windows and mirrors" into the outside world-- children should see their own cultures reflected in the content they consume as well as others. As your child's teacher, I may ask you to share your values and beliefs whenever possible so that I can make this happen in the classroom. When I'm not teaching, I love spending time exploring the metroparks around town. I love to bake and often spoil those around me with treats!

I am so excited to work with the preschool team at New Albany-Plain Local Schools!
