Hello everyone! My name is Cobi Warstler and I am so excited to be joining the New Albany community as a 4th grade teacher! I grew up in the New Albany area, went to Columbus Academy, and recently graduated from the College of Wooster in 2020, where I pursued my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology, ultimately receiving my PK-5 license; I am hoping to soon pursue my Masters degree!
I come from a long line of teachers and knew from as early as I can remember that I wanted to continue along that path. It is surreal to me to be here now, and I am confident that there is no better place to be than New Albany! I was lucky enough to complete my student teaching at New Albany Intermediate School in 5th grade science this past fall with Mr. Barnes! I knew from the moment I stepped foot in the building that it was an amazing place. My passion for teaching lies in the moments where I am able to see students start to develop confidence and acquire skills that they can use in the “real world”. I am passionate about supporting them in becoming critical thinkers and problem solvers, and watching them learn to love learning!
Outside of school, I love to run, coach, travel, read, spend time with my family, and bake! I also coach the middle school cross country and track teams at Columbus Academy. While at Wooster, I ran varsity track and field and cross country, which eventually led to my love of coaching, merging two of my favorite things! I am so excited to start this new school year with an awesome group of people!
