Hi everyone! My name is Bonnie Smith, and I am so happy to be a part of the sixth grade ELA team at New Albany Intermediate. This will be my eighth year teaching. I am a graduate of The Ohio State University and hold a Bachelor of Science in Middle Childhood Education with a minor in Professional Writing. I am passionate about creating engaging learning activities and helping students find high-interest books. 

My husband, Tom, and I live in Newark with our two dogs, Sage and Buster. Tom is an assistant principal at Heath Middle School. We are expecting our first child in November and are very excited to begin this journey as new parents! When I’m not teaching, I can be found reading, crafting, thrifting, or working on a project for our 1969 house. I can’t wait to meet this new group of sixth graders, and I’m looking forward to a great year!
