Degrees and Certifications:
Hello everyone! My name is Kelli Eichenseer and I am very excited to be joining the team at the New Albany Intermediate School in 5th grade! I grew up in Sunbury and graduated from Big Walnut High School. I graduated from Otterbein University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Childhood Education math and ELA. After graduation I obtained my Generalist Endorsement from University of Cincinnati in science and social studies. I previously worked in Big Walnut Local Schools teaching 4th grade. I recently got married last year and currently live with my husband, stepson, and our pet parrot, Taco, in New Albany. I am thrilled to be teaching in the same community that I reside in!
Outside of school, you can find me hiking, spending time outdoors, watching my stepson play lacrosse or tennis, running and working out. I hope to someday complete a full marathon! I come from a large family with 5 siblings, one of which is my twin sister. With such a big family, I spend a lot of my free time hanging out with family.
I have worked with a wide variety of age levels in my teaching career and have always found that my happy place is with “middle grades.” I love making sure that I build positive relationships with each and every one of my students. I hope to provide a classroom culture where all my students strive to be their best selves and feel successful in our classroom. I am so grateful to be able to call myself a New Albany Eagle! I look forward to the 2021-2022 school year!
