Expectations for In Person Students during 100% Remote Learning
Dear Students,
Beginning Monday, December 14, 2020, will be implementing our Remote Learning Model. We will remain in the Remote Learning Model through December 22, 2020. During this time instruction will be delivered using our Schoology Learning Platform and Google Meet. Below are some special expectations and reminders that you will need to follow in preparation for this change.
Daily Expectations for Students:
- Here is our Remote Learning Bell Schedule
- Students will attend school remotely each day of the week. This is different from the hybrid schedule that we are currently using. Students will be expected to join their assigned classes at the appointed time.
- The hours of attendance each day are from 9:00 a.m until 3:15 p.m Office hours are available beginning each day at 8:30 a.m.
- Students are expected to log in to Schoology each day and to be actively engaged in all of their Google Meets.
Reminders Before Our Last Day of In-Person Attendance
- Take home all textbooks, class notebooks, binders, reading books, etc
- Make sure you have your learning devices including Chromebooks if you are in the 11th and 12th grade.
- Make sure you write down and track all passwords for:
- Google Account
- NAPLS Email
- PowerSchool
- Classlink
- All devices (laptops/IPAD)
- Make sure you take home all instruments. Students with large instruments should coordinate a pickup time with their music teacher.
- Art students should see their art teachers for instruction on art supplies/activities during remote learning.
- If you forget how to unlock your iPad, we cannot help with this remotely! Make sure you can unlock your iPad before leaving for the weekend
We remain committed to supporting you and continuing to provide a high quality education during this time. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your teachers, counselors, or administrators if you have any questions or need assistance.
Thank you,

Schoology
Teachers and staff have also been working to familiarize all students with Schoology during class time. Schoology will be the online learning management system where students are able to access curriculum, assignments, and other necessary materials in addition to those their teachers have asked them to take home over the extended break. If you are not already enrolled, please sign up for a Parent Schoology Account. You may also find this Parent Guide to Schoology useful as your student(s) engage in E-learning.
-
PowerSchool Parent Portal
PowerSchool will remain active and up to date for monitoring student progress and grades. To login to the parent portal for PowerSchool, enter your username and password.
Our teachers will also be using Blackboard to send any necessary group communications while we are closed. Blackboard can be used to send emails to an entire class’s NAPLS email accounts and parent emails. We encourage you to make sure you have your preferred email address listed in PowerSchool as this is where Blackboard will pull parent information from.
