Hello everyone, and welcome to third grade!
My name is Teah Hartman (Ms. Hartman) and I am beyond excited to have your child in my classroom this year. Third grade is such a big year in a child’s life and I am blessed to be a part of their journey.
This will be my 16th year teaching and my 4th year teaching third grade at New Albany. I spent the rest of my career teaching second grade in Asheville, NC. I have a BA in Conflict Resolution and Mediation from Kent State University, a Teaching Certificate from the University of North Carolina Asheville, and a MA in Special Education from Fitchburg State University.
As a teacher, I believe that all children can learn and succeed (academically, socially, and emotionally) and deserve a quality education. I believe in meeting kids where they are (differentiating) and supporting them to reach their highest potential by providing a learning environment that is safe, positive, and joy-filled.
When I’m not in my classroom, you can find me reading, walking, or spending time with family and friends.
I look forward to learning with and from each one of you and your child this year!
