Hello friends!
My name is Corrina Talamo and I am 26 years old. This will be my 4th year teaching and my 3rd year teaching here in New Albany. I have one younger sister who will be starting her first year of med school this coming fall at OU. I graduated from the University of Findlay in May of 2018. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education. I also carry the Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement. During my time at the University of Findlay, I was a member of the Women’s Swimming and Diving team where I served as captain my senior year. While also in college, I spent time as a reading tutor for elementary school students as well as a swim lesson instructor for kiddos age’s two to five! There is something so magical about working with preschool students! Their love for learning is so contagious! There is nothing I love more than seeing their faces light up when they are able to make real life connections to the information that we are learning in the classroom.
Outside of teaching, I love spending time with friends and family, running, swimming, cycling, going to country concerts, and reading! I currently swim for the New Albany Masters Swim Team and I just finished training for my first 100 mile bike ride for Pelotonia! Over the summer I worked at my “home away from home,” the Westerville JC Pool, as one of the pool managers. I love to travel and I was very excited to be able to spend some time hiking with my family in Sedona, Arizona as well as exploring Nashville, Tennessee, where I got engaged this summer!
I am very excited for the new school year to begin! Go Eagles! :)
