Degrees and Certifications:
Hi! My name is Meredith Petzke, and I am a new Intervention Specialist at New Albany Intermediate School.
I graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Special Education in 2015. I spent my first three years teaching in Elyria, Ohio in a K-5 ED unit. While working in Elyria I discovered my strong passion for teaching students with disabilities and was able to hone my behavior management skills with the help of an awesome team. I am extremely passionate about teaching my students social skills and I strive to create positive social situations for my students daily.
In the classroom I enjoy using positive reinforcement as often as possible and celebrating the little victories everyday. I am excited to be here in New Albany and to continue doing what I love- working with students to help them realize their full potential.
Outside of teaching, I love hiking, reading and watching Netflix.
