Dear New Albany-Plain Local Schools Learning Community,

On behalf of the New Albany-Plain Local Schools Board of Education, administration, faculty, staff, and students, we wish to express our sincere gratitude to our community for their continued support of the school district with the passage of Issue 40. As we have shared in the months of preparation leading up to the election, Issue 40 was a thoughtful plan to provide solutions for today’s capacity challenges at the elementary level, renovation needs for some original facilities and the future growth of the district, all while remaining fiscally responsible and accountable to our taxpayers. 

The two-phase funding approach that benefits our taxpayers will permit the school district to complete the following capital projects:

Years 2025-2028: 

• A NEW Elementary School (all-day Kindergarten, Grades 1 and 2)
• High School Technology Hub
• Renovation of Original Middle School Stadium
• Larger Relocated Transportation Facility.
• Expanded Bus Lane at the Early Learning Center

Years 2028-2031: 

• Construct Updated High School Science Labs
• Build a Fine Arts Hub (art, choir, band, orchestra, and theater) for students in grades 5-12
• Expand the middle/high school cafeteria and multipurpose common area to accommodate daily student usage and future enrollment
