Dr. Mamais’ work will support benchmarks 1 through 4 of the district’s Continuous Improvement Plan, as the district continues to create a culture of accountability that achieves the best academic and developmental outcomes for each student. The District aspires, by 2021, to be ranked in the top 5% (#30 or higher of 608 public school districts) for student achievement in the State of Ohio as reported by the Ohio Department of Education (ODE), with incremental progress of at least 1% annually.
In order to monitor student achievement and growth, a variety of assessments, including classroom, grade-level/departmental, state and national, are administered throughout the year to measures student progress toward meeting end of the year mastery of skills or content. These assessments help teachers and instructional leaders to provide the necessary supports to each student.
