Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Amanda Stanavich, and I will be your child’s 3rd grade teacher this school year. I cannot wait to meet you!
 
A little bit about me: This is my 11th year teaching. Ten of those years have been in 3rd grade & I think it's the best age! I grew up in Youngstown, Ohio. I graduated from Mount Union College (now University of) in 2009 and was a college athlete. In 2019, I earned my Master’s Degree. Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy watching sports; mainly football (Go Steelers!) and hockey (Go Penguins!). And of course, go Buckeyes! My pride and joy is my little dog, Paisley.
 
In third grade, we will explore many important, in-depth academic skills. As a teacher, it is my goal to challenge your children and support them in their learning so that they can reach their greatest potential. I fully intend to prepare your children academically while still recognizing the importance of other life skills such as creativity, imagination, responsibility, and kindness. I promise to build on your child’s love for learning and help him/her continue to view school as a positive, exciting place to be!
