Blackboard Mass Notifications
NAPLS uses Blackboard for our Mass Notification System. Notices such as school closings/delays, attendance, cafeteria balance and other district and school messages will be communicated via phone, email and text messaging.
Blackboard uses data from PowerSchool. Any person marked as a guardian to a NAPLS student will have their phone number, cell phone number and email address used for notifications. It is important that parents/guardians verify and update their contact information in PowerSchool.
Parents/Guardians will receive an email with their login ID, password and instructions for accessing the Blackboard Notification System. We encourage parents/guardians to log on to the system to make sure personal contact information is correct. Updates can be made by contacting our district registrar at email@example.com. Parents/Guardians may also customize their account at that time.

Parents/Guardians can set delivery preferences on how they want to be notified.
Parents/Guardians are required to have at least one valid phone/text number and email for emergency and attendance messages. Please note, after hours weather related school closings/delays are not emergency messages and fall under the “other” category. If you choose not to receive “other” notifications you will not receive these notifications.
Frequently Asked Questions
Parents/Guardians need to provide the school district with a valid email address and phone number. You can log into PowerSchool and view your contact information in the Ecollect forms. If you need to change your contact information, please contact the district registar's office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
