Welcome to the start of another exciting school year! I am Sarah Sautter and I will be teaching 6th grade science this year. I have a passion for the art of teaching and learning and am excited to share this with your child. 6th grade is such a transitional year for children, I will be here to help meet the needs of all of my students. I believe it is important for us to work as a team; child, parent and teacher. Working as a team is critical when we all share the same goal… success for your child. Communication is important to have between students, parents and teachers. You know your child best! I am looking forward to learning more about him or her. Please feel free to contact me by email at sautter.1@napls.us with any questions, concerns, or suggestions to best meet your child’s needs.
This is my 25th year of teaching! I can’t believe it when I say it out loud! For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher and I feel so lucky to be doing a job that I love! I am a graduate of Philo High School, class of 1995. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, grades 1-8, in 1999 from Ohio University! Go Bobcats!
I attended Marygrove College and earned my Master’s in the Art of Teaching in 2002. As a child, I grew up in a small, one stoplight town. I now live in a new, one stoplight town, Centerburg! My husband and I have been married for 20 years, we have three boys, Jack (19), Will (17) and Henry (12). I am also a middle school cheerleading advisor, so you will find me at many of the games! I’m delighted to say that my oldest son, Jack, is following in my footsteps. He is currently in his 2nd year at Ohio University, majoring in math/science middle level education! Will loves playing the drums in the marching band and participating in football and track. I look forward to watching Henry play football and lacrosse this year (lucky for me, I get to coach the cheerleaders that will be cheering for the football team)! On the weekends, my family and I enjoy being outside boating on Buckeye Lake
