Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Sautter

Welcome to the start of another exciting school year! I am Sarah Sautter and I will be teaching 6th grade science and social studies this year. I have a passion for the art of teaching and learning and am excited to share this with your child. 6th grade is such a transitional year for children, I will be here to help meet the needs of all of my students. I believe it is important for us to work as a team; child, parent and teacher. Working as a team is critical when we all share the same goal… success for your child. Communication is important to have between students, parents and teachers. You know your child best! I am looking forward to learning more about him or her. Please feel free to contact me by email at with any questions, concerns, or suggestions to best meet your child’s needs.

This is my 19th year of teaching! I can’t believe it when I say it out loud! For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher and I feel so lucky to be doing a job that I love! This year is going to be so refreshing because I will be teaching two new curriculums! I spent my first 18 years of teaching as a math teacher. This year I will be a 6th grade science and social studies teacher! Teaching new content is scary and overwhelming, but I look forward to the challenge of creating fun, meaningful lessons for your students! I am a graduate of Philo High School, class of 1995. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Eduacation, grades 1-8, in 1999 from Ohio University! Go Bobcats! I attended Marygrove College and earned my Master’s in the Art of Teaching in 2002.

As a child, I grew up in a small, one stoplight town. This summer, I made to move to a new, one stoplight town, Centerburg! I am a mother of three boys, Jack (13), Will (11) and Henry (6). As a mom of three boys, I realized they needed some space to roam! We now have a lot more space to play and explore outside! My husband, Tim and I were married 14 years ago and I believe he is loving getting to mow the grass with a big tractor too! I am enjoying getting settled into my house and spend most of my free time perusing ideas on pinterest on design and decorating! I am also a middle school cheerleading advisor, so you will find me at many of the games! On the weekends, my family and I enjoy camping in our permanent spot in southeastern Ohio on the Muskingum River. We like to boat, kayak and relax!
