Mrs. Coe

Welcome to the start of a new school year! I began my teaching career with New Albany Plain Local Schools in 2001. During my teaching career, I have taught second grade, special education, reading intervention, and have been an instructional literacy coach. The one thing that has remained a constant during my teaching career is my love for teaching reading and writing. I graduated from the University of Findlay with a double major in Elementary and Special Education. I also have my Master’s Degree in Curriculum Development and Literacy Education from Ashland University. Additionally, I have my Reading Endorsement and I recently completed an Orton-Gillingham practicum in order to obtain my Associate certification.  In 2010, I obtained my Master Teacher designation.

This year I will be supporting your child through supplemental reading intervention. I will be working closely with your child’s ELA teacher to ensure your child is progressing academically and reaching his/her fullest potential. I look forward to an exciting year and getting to know all of you!

When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have three wonderful children Isabella, Sophia, and Griffin. My husband Corey, is also a teacher. As a family we enjoy playing and attending sporting events, reading, being outdoors, and helping others. Children are very important to me and that is why I am so fortunate to be able to work with your child this year. I am grateful to have a job that allows me to inspire students each day. Here’s to a great year!
